It's amazing the difference a little rest makes. [She looks much better. There is more color on her cheeks, her wounds are either healed or healing and her hair has been Charmed so the frizziness is gone.]

Have you explored the village? If not, I think we should start there and then branch out into the less obvious attributes of Luceti.

I wasn't sure about this place when I first arrived, but it is proving to be quite fascinating. I almost don't mind losing some of my abilities [Or, rather, the intensity of them.] in order to meet those I never thought I would [More like: "could meet".].

If Luceti really is located in another dimension, it makes me wonder how many other dimensions there might be. Of course visiting them and keeping a tally would probably be a nightmare, but it is interesting to think about.

[She is slowly braiding her hair, sitting cross-legged in a chair. Over-all, she looks much better than she had on her arrival.]

These ones all work for the Malnosso. If they come after you, it's because they're taking you to them.

[ If it's an intimate experience, there's at least 8 feet between Hermione and Yuri once she picks out the spot she's going to sit and stay in. ]

What do they look like?

[You can bet Hermione is curled up in her corner. And blushing. But we can blame the color on the heat, right? Right.]

Like droids. I haven't been kidnapped yet personally, so I can't give you a really detailed description. I know that nothing's really been able to stop them so far, though.

If they're anything like the droids in Luke's world, they could look like a number of things, really. Except for human beings, that is.

[She will never look at trash cans the same way again.]

I have my doubts they look like human beings here at least. Otherwise it wouldn't be known that they were droids, probably. Whatever they look like, I don't think they come for anyone while others are around. Which is something I need to figure out how to change.

That could be easily rectified if everyone didn't mind sharing their lives with another person. [But even she has her privacy issues.] I don't think there's anyone I would trust quite that much living within the village at the moment.

I don't think there's anyone that wouldn't drive me insane being in my space 24/7 either.

Therein lies the problem. [She leans her head back, exhaling.] Another choice would be to have our journals open all the time.

If you want to broadcast your morning showers to everyone, be my guest. [ Yuri sinks into the water more, so the water is just below her lips. ] I'd rather risk it.

[A wince.] Definitely not. [Hermione cups her hands together under the water and splashes her face and hair.]

I could probably fashion together a rudimentary communicator. [Like she had done for the DA.]

Communicator? [ Yuri tilts her head curiously. ]

A way for us to contact one another if we have a problem. I attached spells to coins back at Hogwarts. Everyone in the DA kept one and every time we organized a meeting, the coins would grow hot and show them the date and time.

Hmm.. That could be really useful.

[ A plan is coming. ]

Just make two for now, after we can figure out that they definitely work, we might be able to put them to better use. If they work and we can make more, maybe we can start handing them out to people and they can activate them when they're going to get kidnapped. The SSS can come try to help them. Even if we can't save them, that might give us a chance to capture some of the droids to see what we can do with it, too.

[Hermione nods, agreeing with the plan.]

I'll let you know - vaguely - when they're done. I want to try several other spells on the objects - just so they're more useful to us.

That sounds good. Right now, it seems like a lot of people are focused on fighting the Malnosso as a whole through information gathering and things like that.. which is great, but meanwhile no one does anything about helping each other out. If we just keep letting them take us, for all we know they could be pulling out information every time they've got us unconscious anyway, which means all the people gathering information like that aren't going to be accomplishing much. We need to start protecting each other-- No one else is going to.

You're right. Everyone could be brought back to square one without any of us realizing it. However, if we're protecting each other, there would be clues we could follow in order to regain what we lost.

Exactly! Or even work to prevent the loss before it happens. For all the people with superpowers here, most of it's getting used to fight against the Third Party I think, rather than to protect ourselves.

The Third Party? [That's a name she hasn't heard.] Is that another name for the droids? Or the Malnosso?

No, no. The droids work for the Malnosso. So they're the Malnosso tech. There are three main groups here. Us in Luceti itself, The Malnosso who are somewhere outside of the enclosure but are close enough to watch and experiment on us, and the Third Party who wants to kill us all because they think it's better than whatever it is the Malnosso's really got going.

You know, nevermind that we can't die here, the Third Party still keeps trying so it's really just a pain in the ass. Either they're really stupid, or.. [ Yuri trails off. She's kind of got a few ideas, but they're not something she wants to go into yet. ] Well, we'll just assume they're stupid for now because otherwise we're going to end up in the land of what-ifs. Then there are other enclosures like ours, I think. I don't actually know much about them, just that they're there.

Death is better than...dealing with the Malnosso? [My goodness that's quite a leap. A suicidal leap at that.] I've gathered that they're problematic, but that seems like giving up to me.

[And there's no way in hell she's giving up.]

They're not the ones that deal with the Malnosso. They're the ones who've decided our fate. Which is stupid and I'm kind of sick of all the other groups trying to tell us what we should be doing.

I will decide what's best for me. [She purses her lips.] Giving advice is one thing; deciding another's fate is quite another.

Do you think you might be interested in joining the SSS then?

[ She's definitely decided she likes Hermione enough to invite her. ]

I would be. [She'll always be cautious, but she likes what she hears so far.]

[ Yuri wouldn't blame her for being cautious, especially here. Especially since they don't know each other that well. ]

I look forward to working with you then. For now, work on what we were talking about. If we can get something going with that, then it'll be a big benefit to everyone here.
