It's amazing the difference a little rest makes. [She looks much better. There is more color on her cheeks, her wounds are either healed or healing and her hair has been Charmed so the frizziness is gone.]

Have you explored the village? If not, I think we should start there and then branch out into the less obvious attributes of Luceti.

I wasn't sure about this place when I first arrived, but it is proving to be quite fascinating. I almost don't mind losing some of my abilities [Or, rather, the intensity of them.] in order to meet those I never thought I would [More like: "could meet".].

If Luceti really is located in another dimension, it makes me wonder how many other dimensions there might be. Of course visiting them and keeping a tally would probably be a nightmare, but it is interesting to think about.

[She is slowly braiding her hair, sitting cross-legged in a chair. Over-all, she looks much better than she had on her arrival.]

I think they would have been discovered already, but it doesn't hurt to look. I'd like to make a map while we search. [She has become rather untrusting of anything she doesn't make with her own two hands. Which means starting at the bottom.]

No sweat, I already have a map! There's this whole Welcome Center full of the things. I took twenty.

[Why she would ever need twenty maps is a mystery.]

Right now I'm at home. Or you know, the home I have here anyway. I'll come find you!

And who made the maps in the first place? [If it was a fellow resident then she might trust it.]

I dunno, someone here I think. [One of the maps is held up to the journal for Hermione to see.] Like I said, the Welcome Center had a ton of 'em! And that place is run by the guys here so you know it has to be the real deal.

[Once she's done with the map Pascal soon folds it away and smiles and the journal.]

Sure, it'll be no problem! As long as you tell me where you are first.

Oh...it is? Not the Malnosso? [Time to change her plans!] That's perfect, then. Thank you for picking them up.

I'm not far from the clothing shop, actually. I managed to find an apartment and I can easily meet you outside.

Nope, those guys didn't even touch 'em! If they did we might end up with a map which leads us to a bottomless pit or something. [She'll bring two maps with her and leave the other eighteen for some other occasion.]

Alrighty, I can get there in no time at all. Seeya in a few! [Journal closed!]

Exactly why I wouldn't trust a map made by them.

[Hermione nods and heads outside, crossing her arms over her chest. She glances up and down the nearest street, biting the inside of her lip. Luceti is...active. It's rather surprising how active it can be at times. She wonders how many people have been transported from their worlds to this one and if she will ever see her friends and family again.]

[Seeing as the clothing shop was one of the first places Pascal went to when she showed up it doesn't take her long to find her way back there.]

Hey-o Hermione! Special delivery, one super map, just for you!

[Voila! She runs forward to Hermione whilst holding the map out with both hands.]

[Laughing softly, Hermione reaches for the map and examines it closely.]

Thank you. [It's nice to know the layout of the city. At least now she won't be wandering around aimlessly.]

I've been thinking...

Perhaps we should start in the middle of the city and fan out until we reach the perimeter...

Sure thing! So that means we're going to be going aaall the way out to meet the barrier, right? Or are we just gonna stay in the villagey part?

[If they're going to end up trekking out to the barrier then maybe Pascal should go grab some supplies like food and water. Might take awhile to do that.]

We should probably start with the village. [Hermione narrows her eyes.] Going all the way out to the barrier might be a little much to begin with.

Aye aye Captain, just the village! I wouldn't mind going to check out this barrier thing though, if it's true nothing can get through it then it must be super strong.

[So where to first Cap'n Hermione?]

You can just call me Hermione. [She blushes and crosses her arms over her chest.]

If we discovered some way to make a hole in the barrier, that might be more dangerous than helpful.

[But she is intrigued by it.]

Let's start... [She pulls out her wand and uses the 'Point Me' spell, which doesn't require much Magic at all.]

In the South and work our way North.

I know! [She just wanted to use Captain. It seemed fitting.] I've read stuff about guys trying to break holes in it before buuut all those things turn out not so good for the guys trying.

[Basically all the attempts she's heard of have failed. Still, it would be nice to at least see the barrier.]

Alrighty, to the South we go! [Seeing as she's seen much flashier magic before Pascal just rolls with it and starts walking South.]

You have? [Forget names and titles!] How did it turn out for them?

Hermione shoulders her bag and begins to walk down the sidewalk.]

According to the map, these are apartment buildings. I doubt anything suspicious would be housed there.

Well it didn't work for starters. The barrier just kinda sat there like it was nothing while these guys wailed on it like no tomorrow. [Shrug.]

Unless that's just what they want you to think! [Who's 'they'? Who knows. She probably means the Malnosso.] These places could really use an elevator.

So it was too powerful for them to even make a dent. But it probably isn't invincible otherwise our powers wouldn't be reduced. [Or their powers are reduced for an entirely different reason. Hermione feels like this could only get a lot more complicated in the future.]

That could be a possibility. [She frowns.] Maybe it isn't that strong all the time?
