I haven't the slightest clue why I was brought to...? [What does she even call this place? A forest? A paradise? She doesn't feel entirely settled with calling her new surroundings the latter. Something is definitely off. After all, hadn't she been in the Headmaster's office at Hogwarts a moment ago?

Crossing her arms over her chest, she presses her lips together, a determined glint in her eyes.]

My name is Hermione Granger and I know for a fact that I did not choose to come here. Nor did I choose to have wings fastened onto my back.

[That part is quite curious. Bringing her somewhere against her will is one thing, but attaching wings to her back without her realizing it is another. She wonders if she had been rendered unconscious for awhile.]

Is there any way to rid myself of them? They are...cumbersome. [Not to mention they make her feel like a walking target.

She lowers her voice and adds in an undertone:] It's a shame Luna didn't come with me. This seems like something out of The Quibbler.

[Rolling her shoulders to relieve some tension, she exhales.]

I have a number of questions for anyone who has the time. I've tried to speak to the villagers, but they're not terribly... [animate] ...helpful. I wonder if they're under some spell?

[Hermione shakes her head and shifts from foot to foot.]

I would sincerely appreciate any aid. Thank you.

I...have numbers? [She blinks, utterly perplexed.] I'd really rather not think about that. [The mere idea of a stranger - nonhuman or not doesn't really matter - seeing her without clothes is enough to make her want to hide under a rock.] They don't give us any privacy, do they?

[That last question is more rhetorical.]

Why did the Malnosso Organization bring us here if they knew the Third Party wants us dead? Wouldn't us staying in our home worlds be safer?

Yeah, you know, the frilly little dresses all the gals get landed in whilst the guys get pants! Oh, and I guess the number dealys on the back of your neck too. [And to think she almost forgot about the barcodes.] Nope! It's a total privacy invasion, they're always watchin' you. Even in the bathroom!

[Too bad the concept of rhetorical questions goes right past her.]

Beats me! Seems like the Mal-guys didn't want us anywhere near the fighting buuut stuff happened and people started getting drafted! Here, I'll hook you up with all the info, better to show ya' than me just telling you.

They brand us?! [Her voice rises uncomfortably.] This is just - ! [Now she's mad.] Even teenage boys have better manners!

[She calms down enough to read the guide, leaning against a tree.]

I d-don't - [Her voice breaks.] This isn't fair. [Those words are said softly, tiredly.] The war is over. Are you telling me I have to fight another one?

If you want to look at it that way sure, branded like a banana! [Does that makes sense? Eh. The entire time she's speaking her voice seems to remain incredibly upbeat and cheerful.] You kiddin'? Teenage boys have awesome manners, Little Bro is like the chief of manners! And Richard is a prince so he has to be all regal, part of the job!

[Hmm.]

Whoah now, it could be waaay worse than just getting stuck smack-dab in some war. Kinda sucks you were off in some other war and now you're over here, but hey, you have an advantage over all those war newbies out there!

[Always look on the bright side~]

We're not fruit. [What is she even arguing?] We're people with rights!

[She sighs and brushes her hair out of her face.]

It was a figure of speech.

[Hermione stares at her journal, biting the inside of her cheek. Getting mad at this girl or breaking down won't do her any good. She needs to stay focused, find shelter, find food, get some sleep and then tackle her new slew of problems.]

I didn't catch your name? [Changing the subject like a boss.]

People with the rights to eat bananas! And banana pie too, banana anything in fact. It would be a real bummer if there was some sort of banana ban here.

[So she kinda likes bananas. A lot. Figure-a-what now? What's that?]

Wow, looks like I skipped the intros over here. The name's Pascal, it's nice to meetcha!

... [Was that even the point? Hermione can only gape at that answer and frown.]

...hello, Pascal. How long have you been here? [And why do you like bananas so much?]

We were all brought here, and the wings aren't something we can get rid of. I'm sorry.

So I've been told. I hear it's quite painful to even tug on them. [She exhales quietly.] It's nice to meet you. I wish it was under better circumstances.

Yes, it can be. But you do get used to them after awhile.

[She nods.] It is nice to meet you as well, Hermione. My name is Ran Fan.

It's a shame they're not useful, though I have no desire to fly.

[She tries to smile, but it's strained.]

How long have you been here, Ran Fan?

I don't have any desire for that either. I would be happy without them, but I suppose that can't happen.

[Give her a second to count.] I think I've been here for about six months. I haven't been keeping track.

Without tremendous pain and the possibility of death. [Which just sounds awful.]

Half a year... Have you heard any news from your home?

It took some time, but it is possible to protect them during a battle, if that is what you're worried about.

The only news from home I've heard is from other people from my world. People tend to be from different times and remember different things, so it's possible that someone here is from your future.

How would you go about doing that? I have some defense, but I'm not sure if it's powerful enough. [Considering her Magic is cut down by 50%.]

I'd love to meet them. At the moment, the future is rather shaky for my world.

It just take some simple defensive positions. [No, they aren't that simple.] They take some time to learn though.

It seems like it's that way for a lot of people, including myself. But I received good news, so I hope you receive the same.

Would you mind showing me? I'm a fairly fast learner. [She isn't completely inept when it comes to dueling, though that has more to do with Magic than various positions.] It looks like I have the time.

I hope so too. [Harry and Ron... Hogwarts covered in rubble... All of those bodies...] I'd settle for mediocre news.

I would be happy to show you. Are you skilled with kunais, by chance? [Just so she knows what to teach.

That last part caught her attention.] Was something happening when you were taken?

Kunais are...knives? [That would be a no.] My main weapon is a wand.

...yes. A war. It... The final battle occurred last night and this morning for me. My best friend...

He ended it.

[Sorry, a wand for a weapon? That isn't something she's heard of before.] I suppose I can work with that, but I might need some time to think of something.

War? Yes, that can be hard time. But your friend ended it? That is good. There was war in my world as well, so I know how it can be scary.

I would appreciate the lessons. Just...let me know? [A wand can be used like a sword or knives for that matter and Hermione is creative with her Charms and Hexes.]

I thought he was...gone. But he came back and ended it. There was a Prophecy about him and...the one he defeated. I'm relieved he was the last one standing.

Of course. It shouldn't be to difficult to use a wand. It's just not a weapon I'm used to.

Then that is great news. [She smiles.] I have been told that in my world, we won as well. What other news are you looking for?

I was healthy before I was alive, but that's a different story. Perfectly alive here, down to being able to catch colds again. [ She adds with a bit of bitterness. She misses not being able to get sick, she won't lie about that. ] For the war. They don't really care how old you are.

[Luke's image pops to life. Its that time again, New Feathers coming in and he feels its the right thing to do, help out]

Hello Ms. Granger. My name is Luke Skywalker, and I would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Before that though, I would advise against playing with the wings too much, they are tender when you first arrive and damage to them can have severe consequences.

Then the village is likely your best bet! Seriously, just go check it out. And if you're ever up for a roasted fish, let me know.
